After the junior session on Thursday evenings, throughout the year, the club has a later session - it used to be called the senior session but quite a few of the younger members also join in! The centre is on the River Soar which is a canalised river, flat with some good weirs. The paddlers often split in to smaller groups, some working on skills either informally or coached, with others going off on a river trip or to play on one of the weirs. A longer trip involving a shuttle is part of the offering for the first Thursday of each month.
At regular intervals improvers sessions are offered as a block of coaching in both canoe or kayak these will include the chance to do BCU Star Awards and the Club encourages members to go on to the UKCC coaching awards, First aid and Safety awards.
We like to think the Club is very welcoming so don't be shy come and have a go, we were all new once. We always socialise after the session. There are hot drinks and information about trips and events coming up.
The session starts at 7:30pm (best to arrive at around 7pm) and usually finishes at around 9pm - 9:30pm.

The Club welcomes people of all abilities and has boats and equipment to fit all shapes and sizes. The Centre can accomodate visitors with specific physical needs.
